Gümüş Koyu is on the northwest side of Alibey Island. It lies on the east of Maden Island. Two cottages are identified from a distance. The entry is from the west. The strait between Alibey and Maden Islands is about 0.5 meter deep and is easily recognized by its color.

Care is required for the shoal water and rocks (Semizhoroz) in the vicinity between Maden and Yellice Islands.

The bottom is weed and sand in some parts. Make sure your anchor is well dug in. Depths gradually shelve ashore. Boats drop anchor in 3 – 5 meters. This cove affords good shelter from all but, strong easterly blowing winds push swell in. Patriça Cove is on the east shore, it is walking distance. A rough path goes to the town center of Alibey Adası.
