Ortunç Koyu is on the south west of Alibey Adası, it is a large bay, lying between Sivribe Point and Pınar Boğazı (Strait). There is a nice hotel amongst the pine trees on the north – east side. This bay affords adequate shelter for the northerlies. Westerly blowing winds send in swell. The bottom is weed. Boats drop anchor in 3 – 10 meters. Make sure that your anchor is dug in well. It is always the best to take a line ashore from the southern side if overnight staying is planned.

Ortunç Bay is a favorite spot for the tripper boats from Ayvalık. They constantly churn in and out of the bay. The nights are quite under attractive settings and Lesvos Island’s lights.
