The bays intending to N on SW of Köyceğiz Limanı, lying between points; Kızıl Burun (36°47’31”N-28°32’81”E) on west and Delik Ada (36°47’54”N-28°35’72”E) on the east are called as Semizce Koyları. On approaching from Marmaris, there are reefs, extending out about 40-185m off on the north of point Kızılburu. These reefs lie towards the point on the east. Keep 150 m off the point Kızılburu. Care is needed. Consequently, accidents occur every year. A number of boats have ripped their bottoms on the rocks.
There are two anchorages in the vicinity. These coves afford sheltering from breeze. Strong northerlies push swell in. They are open to easterly blowing winds.
KÜÇÜK SEMİZCE KOYU

The cove on the south Küçük Semizce Koyu is a room for only two boats. You can anchor in 15-18 m with a line ashore if there is any space. Gullets anchor here to transfer visitors to the excursion boats that ply the channels to Dalyan. You can communicate with Ekincik Cooperative via VHF-06 for Caunos and Dalyan excursions. A valley with pine trees runs inland from this cove.
BÜYÜK SEMİZCE KOYU
(36°48’98”N - 28°31’49”E)
The cove on the west is Büyük Semizce Koyu (36°48’98”N - 28°31’49”E) is wider and cooler, and backed by a pine forest. The bottom is sand. Boats anchor in 6-10m and take a line ashore. The southern side of the bay is more attractive and provides better sheltering. Wild, steep wooded slopes surround the bay.
