Kabatepe Port is on the western part of Gelibolu Peninsula, it lies on the north of Palamut Point. The port has a ferry berth, located by the main breakwater, for connections to Gökçeada.
Yachts go to the shore side for berthing. There is a long quay – 76 meters where there are 3 – 4 meters depth in the anchorage. Depth at the head of the quay is around 2 meters. Boats drop anchor and go stern to on the quay. An inner basin is allocated as an anchorage for local fishing boats. Port authority administrates the harbor (phone: 0286 – 814 12 63).
Water and electricity connections are available, discharge water service is rendered. Fuel can be obtained from a tanker truck. Facilities for provisioning are limited; the nearest shopping facilities are located in Ecebat, 13 km from the port. Public market in Ecebat takes place on Thursdays. Regular transport facilities are available. You can obtain all sorts of provisions from Ecebat where you can also find regular ferry services to Çanakkale.
The region is an attractive spot for divers; there are 12 different diving points in the region. Diving boats berth in the port.
Visiting Gelibolu Peninsula is highly recommended, as the area played an important role during the First World War and there are several memorials to fallen soldiers.
