The safest location in the bay, sheltered from northern winds, is its northwestern part.
However, in this section there are vaults of small local vessels.
Anchoring can be done at 2-7 meters depth at the nearest shore.
The bottom is sand, with some weed as well. The sandy parts provide good holding.
On days when the sea is rough, the bay receives light swell. Northeast wind blows hard from the mountains.
The shore has a very beautiful beach and residential areas. With markets, restaurants and tea gardens, it is a very charming
place.
It has road connections to Dikili and Çandarlı.
