ÇIRALI (OLİMPOS) CENNETİNDE NELER OLUYOR
Sit Alanları Tartışması
Olympos is a nesting area for Caretta caretta sea turtles, with natural beauty and historical heritage.
For this reason, while it was protected as a 1st Degree Protected Area, with the latest decision it has been converted to a 3rd Degree protected area.
1st Degree Protected Areas : "These are Protected Areas that will be preserved as they are, except for scientific studies aimed at conservation"
3rd Degree Protected Areas: "These are areas where new arrangements can be made.
A major controversy emerged as a result of the decisions made.
Those who support this change argue that more aesthetic facilities should be built instead of
the distorted structures that have emerged as a result of construction that was never permitted.
On the other hand, they claim that with such a change, excessive and uncontrolled construction over time will
transform this unique world treasure into an ordinary area. The debates continue to grow rapidly.
Time will tell everything, but we can say: "THERE IS NO OTHER OLYMPOS IN THIS WORLD".
