We sailed from the Marmaris Region and arrived at Hisarönü Bay.

We have been anchored in İnbükü Cove for 2 days.

By coincidence, we encountered some different events for 2 evenings.

Especially after 01:00 at night, serious waves suddenly came to the area where we were anchored.

The waves, whose cause we did not understand, put all the boats in the cove in a really difficult situation.

Due to the season and conditions, there is a density of boats in the coves. The boats anchored at frequent intervals start making different large

movements with these incoming waves.

You would think it's an ocean environment.

If the doors and covers inside the boats are open, they close. If there are things just sitting on the galley counter, they fall over.

Walking becomes difficult.

We check internet sites to see if this force, whose source we don't know, might be caused by an earthquake.

Finally, the night before, we were able to find the answer to our question with the Coast Guard boat that came all the way to the cove entrance and the waves it created.

The boat stopped a little off the cove and its powerful spotlights illuminated the cove.

An inflatable boat lowered from the Coast Guard went to the gulets moored stern-to-shore and performed some procedures.

Because it was both dark and far away, it was not possible to understand anything at that hour.

As the gulet left the bay with the first light of morning, it was not possible to learn about the incident.

Last night, similar waves affected the bay several more times. We didn't see the Coast Guard Boat nearby either.

The most frightening thing was the anchor chains of the boats swinging at anchor colliding with each other.

We knew the source of this movement and in the morning we called the Coast Guard Marmaris Group Command.

When we explained the situation, "One Word, Hear a Thousand" as the saying goes, we learned from the official what the Coast Guard has been dealing with in the region for days.

AN INCIDENT EVERY NIGHT

For a long time, speedboat and dinghy theft has been causing difficult days for boat owners.

Not long ago, we heard about boats stolen literally in front of their owners' eyes from Bodrum Çökertme Bay.

However, we now see that this case has spread systematically and in an organized manner to all coasts.

THIEVES HAVE MADE HISARÖNÜ THEIR HOME

Anxious waiting continues especially in the bays of Hisarönü Gulf and Yeşilova Gulf where boat traffic is intense.

THEY TURNED A NEW BOAT INTO SCRAP IN SELİMİYE BAY

A boat tied to its owner's private dock in Selimiye Bay is stolen at night by these individuals.

They are doing everything to start their motor equipped with new technology, but they are not successful.

They leave the dinghy in that condition offshore and the drifting boat comes to a stop by hitting the rocks on the shore.

POSTS IN COMMUNICATION GROUPS

These and similar incidents continue to occur without slowing down. Mariners are reporting an incident from communication groups every day.

In Kurucabük Cove, the dinghy on top of the boat and the motor are stolen.

Mariners rescue the dinghy that was about to be stolen from Turgut Village piers from the thieves' hands.

Last night similar incidents occur in this region again and the Coast Guard finally catches the thieves.

THE INTERROGATION OF THE THIEVES CONTINUES AT THE GENDARMERIE.

After 3 Turkish nationals were caught as thieves, they were taken for interrogation by the Gendarmerie.

The interrogation is still ongoing. According to unconfirmed information; it is said that those involved in the incident also have connections to the theft incidents in Çökertme Cove.

It is not known whether these are the only ones ravaging this region or if there are other teams as well, but boat owners are quite anxious this year.

What Falls to Us Mariners;

TO BE VIGILANT,

DO NOT LET YOUR GUARD DOWN,

SHARE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST SUSPICION WITH THE COAST GUARD.
