It is a bay with a wide mouth that extends towards the northwest.
It is open to the south. A cape divides the bay in two. There are beaches on both sides.
The main anchorage is on the west side of the bay where the old mine pier is located.
Here one anchors and stays in 5-8 meters on sandy bottom.
It is one of the stopping points for day boats.
