Sivrice Harbor is located on the western side of Point Sivrice, in the northern part of western Edremit Gulf, near Müsellim Passage.
Anchorage Information: Sea-level rocks from the sunken breakwater extend westward approximately 350 meters. Vessels anchor on the sheltered side of this breakwater at depths of 2-6 meters, close to shore.
Bottom and Holding: The seabed consists of weed and sand mixture. Careful anchoring is required to ensure proper holding. A small shelter behind the lighthouse serves as a refuge for local fishing boats.
Shore Facilities: Ashore, there are restaurants, beach facilities, a fishmonger, markets, and several houses. Land transport connections are available.
Shelter Characteristics: Sivrice Harbor provides excellent shelter from northerly and easterly winds.
Sokaağzı Köyü Anchorage: An alternative anchorage lies to the west at Sokaağzı Village. This location offers good protection from northerly and westerly winds, though it experiences some swell during strong westerlies.
Sokaağzı Bottom Characteristics: The bottom here is predominantly weed with some sand. The shoreline shoals rapidly, and depths increase sharply offshore. Anchoring at 4-6 meters depth is recommended for adequate holding.
Sokaağzı Village Facilities: Shore facilities include restaurants, a hotel, and markets. Land transport to Ayvalık is readily available.
