Su Island is to the south of the bay, and the mainland is to the north. The bay's entrance faces west.
When approaching the bay, approach from the south of Tavşan Island because there are scattered rocks between Tavşan Island and the mainland; it is shallow.
The anchorage point is between Su Island and the mainland. There is a shoal to the east of the bay that can be seen with the naked eye during daylight.
Depths of 7-9 meters at the bay entrance gradually decrease. The eastern part of the bay is shallow.
The bottom is a mixture of sand and weed; the anchor holds poorly.
The water is not clear. Although it is a sheltered location from northern winds and meltemi, due to its geographical structure, it is a place where squalls occur.
It is exposed to southerly weather and receives slight swells on days when the sea is rough.
It is the best resting and sheltering location for those passing through the Dilek Strait.
