Gebekse Bay

It is an excellent cove located between Akyar Cape and Çiftlik Island, sheltered by İnceburun Peninsula. İnceburun Peninsula, which cannot become an island due to its thin connection to the mainland, extends half a mile to the east. The water, which is deep at the entrance of the cove, shoals regularly towards the beach. The bottom structure, which is weedy at the entrance, turns into sand. In this cove, you can either anchor at large, or take lines from both sides and moor stern-to shore. It is a cove sheltered from the Meltemi, and does not receive squalls.

There are olive trees on the slopes of the cove. On the beach section and on the hills, there are ruins said to be from the Byzantine era. The old church is visible within the slopes overlooking the sea.

Tour boats coming from Marmaris enter all the way into the white pebble beach. This cove, which is very beautiful from every aspect, becomes crowded during the day. Those anchoring, those taking lines...

If tranquility is desired, it is necessary to come to this cove after 16:00 and leave at 11:00 in the morning.
