Yıldız Island - Bedir Island - Boğaz Bays

It is the area between Yıldız(Nimera) Island and Bedir Island, located south of Marmaris Port.

The location with clean but deep water is surrounded by hills covered with dense olive and pine trees.

The most sheltered spot on the southern Yıldız Island in the narrow channel between the islands is below Ak Burun on the west side of the channel (36°48'93"N-28°16'68"E). Here the depths decrease towards the shore.

At the corner point of the bay, there is a house among dense trees. In front of this house, paying attention to the safety buoys, anchor on weedy bottom at 12-25 meters, take a line from the western shore and moor stern-to. You are now anchored in a dark blue sea within lush green forest. This location, closed to the west and south, is open to the north and east. During the summer season, it is generally possible to shelter calmly. At night, the lights of Marmaris are visible.

The north shore of Yıldız Island is where boats fleeing from Marmaris quay take refuge when the southwesterly wind is effective. There is also a similar bay west of Ak Burun.

Within the same channel, there is a very beautiful inlet on the south shore of Bedir Island (36°49'71"N-28°17'41"E). Anchor at 10-15 meters, take a line from the island, and moor stern-to. This is also a very beautiful place. The sea and the view of the surroundings tell you that you are in the right place. It is the most sheltered place from northerly winds.

This area is where daily tour boats come intensively. It is quiet and calm outside the hours of 10:30-17:00.
