Gündoğan

It is a wide harbor extending south between Karaca Point and Çetin Point. 

Küçük Bük is located to its east. When approaching Gündoğan, it is advisable to pass far (50 m) from the debris in front of Karaca Point.

The wide cove on the western side of the harbor is the center of Gündoğan town. The most sheltered location is inside the small indentation in the middle of the western shore. 

This cove is the most sheltered place against the meltemi. The meltemi creates a light breeze in the cove. Gündoğan Cove is a bay open to northerly winds. 

The bottom is sand. Anchoring at 7-8 meters. At the end of the cove, there is a shelter that can accommodate 30 boats of various sizes. The inside of the breakwater is 3 meters deep. Boats can also be moored stern-to outside the breakwater (4-6 m). The land side inside the breakwater is 1.5 meters deep. 

This shelter, which is generally full, is operated by the fisheries cooperative (0252-374 50 92). Electricity and water are available at the shelter. Fresh fish is sold inside the shelter. In Gündoğan, there is a large shopping center and markets, as well as hotels and restaurants.

Gündoğan is 18 km from Bodrum, 6 km from Yalıkavak, and 55 km from Bodrum Milas Airport. Regular minibus services and taxis are available. 

ATMs of many banks are also present. In Gündoğan, there is a Health Center, Gendarmerie station, 3 water sports stations, horse riding facilities, and a sailing school. 

A local market is set up on Wednesdays.

It is a cove sheltered from the meltemi to the east of Gündoğan Harbor. 

The southwest area is the most suitable place for anchoring. There are underwater rocks close to shore in front of the hotel. 

In this area, there are also boat shelters of those who live in Gündoğan and own boats. Anchoring areas have decreased. However, you can moor at the Muhtar's pier west of the beach, which can accommodate 3 boats (0252-387 76 63). It should be noted that the pier is within the beach area. 

Electricity and water are available.

Since this cove is intertwined with Gündoğan, all facilities are the same.
