Gümbet

It is the first bay to the west of Bodrum town. It is a wide bay sheltered from all winds. Due to its proximity to Bodrum, it is a place where congestion is experienced both on land and at sea.

The buoys marking the swimming areas in front of the beach cover the entire coast. Hotels located outside these areas also create a space with the same buoy arrangement.

Outside of these, anchoring is done at depths of 5-8 meters. The bottom is holding ground, seaweed and sand. It can be considered a winter harbor. It shallows as you approach the eastern shore. The western part is called Asarlı Bay.

In the middle of Gümbet Bay, from the extension of a small point jutting out from the north, rocks extend up to 40 meters offshore.

To the east, there is a large pier operated by Bodrum Municipality. The pier where daily tour boats generally moor is usually full.(Pier Contact: 0535-8962989)

On the shore, there are facilities to meet all needs. Due to being next to Bodrum, it has the same facilities.

Served by water sports centers, where Bodrum nightlife gradually spills over, Gümbet is quite lively.
