Çamlı Port

It is located south of Çapa Burnu and Çamlı (Gelibolu) Island. The cove is exposed to meltemi winds. The relatively sheltered part is the section close to the western shores. In one or two suitable spots of this section, which consists of wooded and rocky steep hills, stern-to mooring can be done. However, the cove is deep and the areas near this shore reach 36 meters.

At the end of the western shoreline there is the wooden pier of Çamlı village (Contact: Mehmet Adalı 0536-939 89 60). Near this pier, on the western side, anchoring is possible at 10-15 meters depth.

The wooden pier has 2 meters depth. Wooden boats making daily tours to Sedir Island and Gökova Coves are moored here. There is circulation at the pier from morning to evening. One boat leaves, another one approaches.

Çamlı Pier location is 5.5 kilometers from Marmaris-Gökova highway and 17 kilometers from Marmaris. It is one of the rare gateways of Marmaris opening to Gökova. Therefore, pier congestion is high during summer months. Nevertheless, if approaching for provisioning, stern-to mooring can be done after anchoring on muddy bottom. Electricity and water connection are available. The sewage discharge unit is active.

Fuel tankers provide service from Marmaris. There is a café and a market at the pier location.

On the road from the pier to Marmaris, among the waters and ponds, there are magnificent restaurants in nature. Breakfast and dinner are like feasts. Special ovens, stoves, delicious dishes add kilos to kilos. It gets very crowded on weekends.

There are streams on the eastern side of Çamlı pier. Depth decreases significantly in these parts. However, there is an opportunity to take long trips among the greenery with fishing boats entering these streams.

Exposed to winds, taking in its waves and swells, the most sheltered area of Çamlı Harbor where one can take refuge when necessary is Çanak Cove, hidden within the eastern coastal strip (36°59'59"N=28°14'52"E). One anchors in this cove with a sandy bottom at 6-7 meters depth and takes a stern line. The end of the cove is quite shallow. The surroundings are maquis shrubland.
