It starts from the high hills covered with pine forests just west of Kargılı Point and extends westward, narrowing.
Shelter can only be found in the area approximately 400 meters west from the point where the bay turns west. The bottom holds anchor. In this section, one takes stern lines to the tree-covered slopes on the north and south sides of the bay.
The distance between these slopes is 90-120 meters. In this bay, which is especially preferred during summer months, it is advisable to anchor carefully considering it will be crowded.
Although sheltered from winds, squalls can descend from unexpected directions from the hills located at different angles around the bay. Most importantly; when the wind blows from the west, the compressed air inside the bay descends upon the boats with squalls. For this reason, it is advisable to set the anchor as far out as possible.
It is necessary to choose solid rocks when taking stern lines ashore. The rock structure here is not solid. Do not forget that in harsh weather conditions, your stern line may break off and come all the way to under your boat.
Only medium-sized boats at most can enter this bay. Maneuvering capability is limited as it is small and narrow. The bay becomes shallow towards the west from the point in the south where there is a stream flowing into the bay. A 2-meter channel remains in the middle and eventually this also becomes shallow. These areas are marked from time to time. There is a second stream on the south shore.
At the exact northwest of the bay, there is a restaurant that operates from time to time. From where the restaurant is located, small walking paths extend to other neighboring bays. The shores of the area where the streams flow and where the shallows are located are reed beds.
Löngöz is a very unique bay that must definitely be seen.
