It is located in the northeast of the Seven Islands Gulf. It is surrounded by pine forests. At the end, there is a stream flowing into the sea and flat areas behind it.
It is sheltered from all winds except southwesterly. The bay is deep, but it shoals in the north.
At the entrance to the bay, there is a sheltered area right in the cove of the northern slopes. Anchoring is done here at 14-17 meters depth, with stern lines taken ashore.
The slope starting from here and continuing 250 meters to the north is the most sheltered part. Many boats moor stern-to in this area. At the end of this shore, there is an indentation. This indentation is the actual Küfre Bay. This is a sheltered bay where 4-5 boats can anchor at 7-10 meters and take stern lines. The depth continues to the shore. There is a wooden jetty on the shore for dinghies.
The eastern shores of Küfre Bay are not sheltered. It is shallow towards the stream.
There is a fire road starting from the top of the northern slope and continuing onwards. This road, winding around, getting bigger and smaller, going up and down hills, connects to Değirmenyanı on the Datça-Marmaris road after 13 kilometers.
There is a restaurant where the stream is located. You can get there by walking or by dinghy. Crossing over the stream, you reach the gardens and olive groves in the flat area. In the small houses, sparse residential areas, the lovely characters of Küfre live.
They live with their cats, dogs, and occasionally parrots in their small cabin under the trees, hosting sea travelers, setting up conversation tables. Generally, when they drink too much, they let the cats get the birds.
This is why the parrots change every time you visit.
