It is located to the northeast of Divan Burnu, north of Palamutbükü (Baba Ada) Island. It is a geography with a wide, bare terrain structure. Between Divan Burnu and Palamutbükü breakwater, there are two coves for daily anchorage—and if we are sure the weather is good—for overnight shelter as well( 36°39'38"N-27°29'29"E), (36°39'52"N-27°29'59"E). They are pristine coves with crystal clear waters, facing Palamutbükü (Baba Ada) Island, with small pebble beaches at their ends. In these areas, the water is deep, and the depth drops suddenly close to shore. One drops anchor at 10 meters on sandy bottom and takes a stern line.
In front of Palamutbükü, you can also drop anchor at 6-8 meters and stay with a kedge anchor. However, this location catches swells even on days with no wind at all, albeit lightly. On windy days, the swell is excessive.
Palamutbükü is open to the south, but although it is closed to northerly winds, squalls occasionally descend from the mountains.
Palamutbükü has a harbor and it is operated by Cumali Village Mukhtarship (Contact: 0252-426 14 30, 0541-859 97 44, 0505 277 44 96). The harbor has 15 mooring buoys on the quay section, and for other berthing places, one needs to drop anchor. At the harbor entrance, the dock attendant meets you, shows you where to berth, and assists. When dropping anchor, it is beneficial to consider the anchors of boats already moored in the harbor and those that may berth after you.
Large vessels cannot enter this harbor except in emergency situations. The depth on the breakwater side is at most 4 meters anyway. Small vessels berth on this section of the harbor where the shore side has been deepened. Large vessels that cannot enter the harbor drop anchor outside and take a stern line from the breakwater. Electricity and water connections are available in the harbor. T
