It is a bay that has receded to the north, located west of Karaincir Islands at Asar Cape and its extension.
One must be very careful when approaching the bay. At the entrance, Karaincir Islands remaining on the starboard side and their debris extend to Asar Cape. Underwater rocks do not allow passage. On your port side, there is also a small island and debris that needs attention. The bay is entered through a narrow passage paying attention to all of these. It is quite shallow. The bottom is sand. Anchor can be dropped between 4-7 meters and one can stay at anchor watch.
The bay, which does not receive the meltemi, is exposed to southerlies. The coast is green. These areas extend with trees and fields up to the peaks of the northern mountains. Emecik Village is also here.
It has a very beautiful beach. There is a holiday site and camping above the beach. There is a market. The Datça-Marmaris highway passes north of this site. There are regular minibus services to Datça, which is 15 kilometers away. These minibuses also stop at Aktur Holiday Village located on the east side.
Generally it is a bay to stay for a day trip, of course in good weather.
