It is located between Kalemlik Cape and Adatepe Cape. At the entrance, on your starboard side, there is a small Çiftlik Island. When approaching the shore, at the western end of the Adatepe Peninsula facing the beach, there is a shoal with 1.2 meters of water depth spreading over an area of 40-50 meters at a distance of 300 meters from the coast.
This cove is where Aktur Holiday Village, one of Turkey's most beautiful and well-organized resort sites, is located. It is covered with pine forests. The cove has a magnificent arc-shaped beach 1.5 kilometers long and has two anchorage locations.
The most sheltered one is the northwest part. You can anchor here at depths between 7-10 meters and stay stern-to. Right at this location, there are also mooring buoys for the small boats of Aktur Holiday Village residents.
Large gulet yachts anchor in front of the steep slopes to the west in this cove and moor stern-to shore. Although the cove is sheltered from meltemi, it receives light afternoon breeze even in good weather.
You can also anchor and stay in the sheltered part to the west of the cove. The anchor holds well in this section. However, it is again an area covered with mooring buoys. If you can find a spot left over from them that doesn't get the afternoon breeze, how fortunate.
There is a small wooden pier at this location. During summer months, a diving school's passenger boat departs from this pier every day to take divers to diving sites. The diving school's facilities are on the shore at the end of the pier. There is also a water sports center on the shore.
To the east of Adatepe Cape, there is the more sheltered Kurucabük Cove. The provisioning facilities of both coves are the same and quite abundant.
You can find all kinds of information about the region in more detail on the Kurucabük page.
