It is located between Asarcık Cape and Zeytinburnu and to the west of Kargataşı Island.
The bay is marked on charts as Gökçe Bay, and is also known as Asarcık Bay.
With its seabed structure and the pine and olive trees covering the mountains surrounding the bay, it is a very beautiful small bay in the middle.
The bay entrance faces east. It is sheltered from other directions. There is no danger at the bay entrance.
Inside the bay, there are two summer residential complexes hidden within nature.
The beach safety buoys of these complexes have seriously closed off the bay.
In the areas outside the buoys, one can anchor in 6-11 meters on sandy bottom and stay with rode extended.
A small tongue extends from the north of the bay. The area in front of this tongue is the safest place. Here, one can moor stern-to by taking a line ashore or to the tongue.
In the beach area, there is a wooden "T" pier of a facility. Electricity and water are also available.
Due to heavy beach and pier traffic during the day in summer season, it is advisable to approach after 17:00. The pier's restaurant is in an atmosphere overlooking the bay from among the greenery. In this location, there is the excellent beach of Amos Bay.
From here, one walks to the Amos ruins on Asarcık Hill. In the region where Persian, Alexander, and Byzantine periods were experienced, there are remains of a theater, temple, and sculptures surrounded by walls, built during the Hellenistic period.
Amos Bay is 3 kilometers to Turunç, 11 to İçmeler, and 25 kilometers to Marmaris by road connection. There are minibus services, though infrequent.
During busy times at the end of summer, daily tour boat traffic is heavy during the day.
If one wishes to fully enjoy the magical atmosphere of the bay in peace, it is more suitable to stay outside the 10:30-16:30 hours.
At the same time, behind the northern tongue, there is another excellent, private mooring spot where only one boat can shelter. With an anchor dropped at 8-10 meters and two lines taken from shore, one can moor stern-to in the narrow area.
Amos bay is an excellent bay, it is one of the most beautiful places to experience when it is not crowded.
