It is a small cove located west of Alkaya Point, southwest of Yıldız Island, which lies to the east of Marmaris Harbor entrance.
Its mouth opens to the west, surrounded by steep hills with olive trees and scrubland. The cove is sheltered from the east and south. The bottom structure is excellent, making it a spacious cove. The cove is at a commanding point overlooking all vessel traffic entering and exiting Marmaris Harbor and anchorages.
A small spit extends from the exact center of the shoreline opposite the entrance. The southern side of this spit is more suitable for anchoring. Here, anchor is dropped between 7-12 meters depth, and either a stern line or shore line is taken.
It is a pristine cove with no land connection. During summer months, on busy days of the tourism season, tour boats make stops in this cove. They allow their passengers to swim, then move on to other coves.
Behind the point to the south of the cove, there is a very beautiful cave. This cave, known as the Phosphorescent Cave, is a well-known and popular spot. It can be reached from within the cove by dinghy or by swimming.
There are very beautiful spots in this area where boats conducting scuba diving operations dive.
