It is located north of Köyceğiz Port. Among the high mountains covered with pine trees, Ekincik Port has sheltered anchorage and berthing places, with an excellent 900-meter-long beach in the middle and flat land behind it.
This port is also the center for passenger boats making tours to Dalyan. If you are sure that you have left your boat safely, you can go on this 3.5-hour tour to Dalyan, one of the paradise corners of the world. It is possible to contact the boats via VHF channels 06-16.
Ekincik Port is generally suitable for anchoring and mooring at almost every point inside. Many boats anchor in front of the beach and stay here.
One of the safe anchorage spots is the area north of the pier on the shore. In the northwest of Ekincik Port, in this location which is sheltered from winds and swells that may come from outside, you can drop anchor at 5-10 meters on sandy mixed bottom and moor.
In the southwest of Ekincik Port, there is a long pier belonging to the Marine Carriers Cooperative. At the head of the pier where 70 boats of the cooperatives berth, there is a berth for 15 yachts. At this pier where electricity and water are connected, there are no mooring buoys, so it is necessary to drop anchor.
For fuel needs, a tanker comes from Köyceğiz, 35 kilometers away.
In Ekincik, which also has a health center and markets, there are hotels, guesthouses and restaurants. Especially in the beach area, there are many options.
Another sheltered point of Ekincik Port is Maden İskelesi Cove in its southeast. You drop anchor on sandy-seaweed mixed bottom in front of the south side of the cove and take a stern line ashore. This location is the most sheltered point in terms of both wind and swell.
In Maden İskelesi Bay, a long time ago, chromium ore used to be loaded onto ships. On the eastern shore, where this loading operation took place, there is a first-class facility serving yachtsmen. You can moor stern-to at this facility, which has the appearance of a mini marina. Electricity and water connections are available. There is a hotel section.
In this facility, which has been integrated into nature with a distinctive decoration concept without harming the environment, traces of the old mining pier exist. Loading ramps, bollards, fountain...
The upper facilities are accessed from beside a small windmill. The facility, which serves yachtsmen with a Turkish bath and showers, has a world-renowned restaurant. You can also see commemorative photographs of world-famous figures; politicians, artists, writers, and journalists who have visited this facility.
I recommend going to the restaurant before missing the sunset.
Ekincik Harbor, with its nature, sheltered structure, and rich options, is definitely one of the places that must be visited.
