In the north of Göcek Bay, the town of Göcek is located. It is on the coastal section of the narrow, flat area that lies in the middle of the high Taurus Mountains.
It is a very important center of yacht tourism in Turkey. A large portion of the population is engaged in maritime-related work and tourism. At the same time, the resident population has increased with those coming from outside the town to work in this developing center. Göcek, which is also a port of entry and exit, has a Customs office.

In Göcek, right in front of the town, it is the most suitable location to benefit from Göcek's facilities. Göcek Marina, which has a capacity of 150 berths, has a vault-paved bottom. An official from the marina office, which provides 24-hour service, assists approaching vessels. Electricity and water connections are available. This is also suitable for short-term berthing for provisioning purposes. As it is exposed to southerly winds, it is not a winter marina. In the town where there are many laundromats, there are also cargo companies.
Vessels organizing tours in the region generally carry out provisioning and passenger transfers from this marina.
Daily tour boats generally berth at the quay section of the marina. Tours to Göcek bays are organized from here. There is a shoal in front of the northern side of this quay.
In Göcek, apart from Göcek Marina, there are modern marinas with all kinds of facilities. You can access detailed information about these marinas from the pages on our portal.
Göcek is a Lycian settlement that was situated between two developed cities of the Lycian civilization in the past, Telmessos (Fethiye) and Kaunos (Dalyan). Unfortunately, due to many reasons, very few structures have survived from ancient Kalimche to the present day. Since the main settlement area could not be clearly identified, no excavation work has been carried out. The fact that ancient period writers, who are the main sources, did not provide sufficient information about its existence and history in their works ensures that the past of the settlement remains a mystery. However, rock tombs, monumental tombs and baths encountered in the bays and on the Fethiye road can be seen.
