
It is a bay located north of Katrancı Island on the northern side of Fethiye Gulf.
In this location, the sea divides in a fork shape and enters into the land, forming two bays. Küçük Kargı Bay is the one on the east.
At the entrance, 20 meters off Doğan Point, there are rocks barely above water and debris. Apart from this, entry to the deep bay is comfortable.
The spacious bay is surrounded by pine forests. At the end of the bay, there is a magnificent beach. The 200,000 m2 flat areas behind the beach area are covered with sweetgum (sığla) trees. It is said that these trees are a type that produces abundant oxygen and are used in pharmaceutical production. They are also known as storax trees. It is said that their scent is good for asthma and bronchial diseases.
The locally known name of the region is "Günlüklü Bay". It is a very beautiful and modern picnic area. All kinds of needs can be met at the facilities here. Taxis are available. By road connection, Göcek is 8 kilometers away and Dalaman International Airport is 38 kilometers away.
The bay mouth faces southwest wind. The bay is exposed to meltemi. In front of the beach, you can anchor in 8-12 meters on sandy bottom and stay on anchor watch.
This section gets some swell, albeit light. There is a pier belonging to a facility built on the sheltered, steep western shore where boats can be moored with shore lines. Staff assist yachts in berthing. Electricity (220V-380V) and water connections are provided. There is a laundry and market. The facility has restaurants, café, bar and bungalows offering different service options.
