It is located 2.3 nm from Kalkan Port, northwest of Kalkan Bay.
It is a popular stop for daily tour boats departing from Kalkan. The area is locally known as Pırnaz Bay.
It is exposed to south-southeast winds. The bottom is a mixture of sand and seaweed, and sandy areas provide good holding. The middle of the bay is quite deep for anchoring. The depth decreases as you approach the shore closely. Anchoring is possible between 5-12 meters.
It is surrounded by high mountains. A mansion on the upper parts of these mountains overlooks the bay from above.
There is a small inlet on the south side of the bay suitable for a single boat. Daily tour boats usually enter here.
If spending the night in the bay; the area in front of the pebble beach on the south side is the most suitable location for stern-to mooring. Outside, when there is sea conditions off Patara, downpours come from the mountains and the bay receives slight swell. At the location where we recommend stern-to mooring, the swell and wind are aligned, do not rock the boat, and work from the same direction.
However, in this area the sun sets very early and your solar panels may go into night mode well in advance.
Behind the pebble beach there is an old dilapidated stone house. Depending on the wind direction, it is also possible to moor to the slope on the Kalkan side.
