Ortakoy (Santral)

It is a narrow, long, and sheltered cove located to the north of Maden Island, with its entrance facing the Gulf of Edremit.

It is known among locals as Santral Cove.

There is a cubic old stone structure on its hill.

It is a very quiet cove as it is far from the departure points of daily tour boats.

Its entrance faces north and provides shelter from all winds except the north wind.

The depth, which is 30 meters at the cove entrance, decreases steadily towards the beach.

Although the bottom structure appears like seagrass from above, it is generally dark-colored sand and sparse seagrass.

The water is very clean and somewhat cool.

On the shore, there is a small old concrete pier and an old structure towards the slope.

It is one of the safest and most beautiful coves in the region.
