It is located within Foça Town, which lies east of Deveboynu Cape and Fener Island on the northern part of the eastern shore of the Gulf of Izmir.
Foça Harbor is divided into two parts by the cape where the historic castle is located in the settlement where the town is situated.
The northern part is called Küçük Deniz (Small Sea), and the southern part is called Büyük Deniz (Large Sea).
Küçük Deniz is a long quay where mostly fishing boats are located.
The quay operated by Foça Municipality, named "Fok Marina," is on the Büyük Deniz side.
The marina is quite sheltered. 125 boats are moored with lazy lines. Depths of 12-17 meters in the middle of the bay decrease to around 3-5 meters at the quay. Individual lazy lines are available.
Water and electricity are provided. It is a marina where mostly local yachts are moored.
Fuel is delivered by tanker. There are engine mechanics, electricians, and woodworkers in the town. There is also a shipyard where boats are hauled out with cradles. In Foça town; fish auction, large shopping center, hospital, pharmacies, restaurants, bars, tea gardens serve all needs.
There are sailing specialty clubs and diving schools in the area.

Over time, private vessels have also moored and continue to moor at this shelter.
ANCHORAGE AREAS
In the vicinity of Foça, to the northwest of Orak Island, there are Siren Rocks where Mediterranean Seals maintain their existence.
On the eastern side of Orak Island, there is a cove for daily anchorage of vessels (38°41.10'N - 26°43.28'E).
The water is deep. Anchor is dropped in 6-8 meters on mixed gravel-sand bottom at the northeast of the cove. In strong wind conditions, the anchor does not hold well and shelter becomes difficult.
To the east of Orak Island is located Mersinli Cove (38°41'16"N - 26°441'02"E). The bottom is gravel and anchor holds poorly. There is settlement on the shore. Between this location and Orak Island passes a strong north-south current which strains the anchors in rough weather.
Both coves are used during calm nights or for daily use.
Ferry services operate from Foça to İzmir, Karaburun and Mordoğan during summer months and are very enjoyable.
In Foça, local markets are held on Tuesdays and Sundays (Organic).
Foça is 57 kilometers by road from İzmir.
