Engeceli Harbor is located on the west coast of Karaburun Peninsula, in the northwest of Gülbahçe Gulf, between Kum Burnu and Engeceli Burnu. It is a large and well-sheltered anchorage offering excellent protection.
The harbor contains three distinct coves, each providing secure shelter under different weather conditions.
Manal Koyu: The cove between Kum Burnu and Dalyan Burnu, locally known as "Manal Koyu", is sheltered from the north but open to the south. It ends in a shingle beach with residential properties along the shore. This cove offers good shelter from northerly and westerly winds. Vessels can anchor in 3-4 meters depth over a sandy bottom with good holding. It is a beautiful and spacious anchorage.
Körfez Koyu and Gerence Koyu: On the western side of Engeceli Harbor, Taşçılar Burnu divides the area into two separate coves. "Körfez Koyu" lies to the north, while "Gerence Koyu" is situated to the south. Both coves indent westward.
Körfez Koyu is narrower compared to Gerence Koyu, with depths shoaling rapidly toward the shore. Gerence Koyu is more spacious, and particularly the southern inlet provides all-round shelter in all weather conditions. Both coves have sandy bottoms offering excellent holding ground.
Engeceli Harbor is renowned for its natural beauty and offers three distinct anchorage options, making it an attractive destination for sailors.
