The 2023 MIYC Winter Trophy, consisting of 6 legs, concluded with 3 races held on May 6-7.

The Marmaris fleet, which has been gaining momentum year by year, started the 2023 Winter Trophy with a high number of boats.

After the trophy started, the earthquake disaster experienced in our country disrupted the scheduled races.

The club management completed all 6 planned legs through date changes.

In fact, with an additional instruction, they increased the total number of races to 18.p>

With this, at the end of the trophy series, teams had the right to discard their 4 worst races.

The competition within the classes at the beginning of the trophy continued breathlessly until the final horn of the trophy.

Another beauty of the trophy was that the results were always open to surprises.

Therefore, while the leaders exerted extreme effort to maintain their positions, their competitors also strived with the most aggressive tactics to change the rankings.

In the final leg, 2 races were held on the first day and 1 race on the second day.

After the results were announced, the Trophy award ceremony was held at the club facilities.

During the quite crowded ceremony, what caught our attention was the participation of the distant families of the racers.

Especially the children wouldn't leave their fathers' arms.

In the IRC 2 Class, NISSAN FIFTY FIFTY Team Captain Cenk Tekkaya's little daughter went up on the podium with her father to receive the award.

But she insistently told her father, in a way everyone could hear, why her mother wasn't with them.

Big smiles appeared in the ceremony area and once mother Tekkaya took her place in the frame, our little girl calmed down.

In the IRC 0 Class, EKER 40, which led the competition from the start, won the cup.

In the IRC 1 Class, Doğukan Kandemir's VMG YELKEN gradually climbed up the rankings with determination to win the class cup.

In the IRC 3 Class, Güney Kaptan's CORENDON CHEESE and in the IRC 4 Class, Hasan Çıplak's M2 also won their cups

through similar competition.
