Sakız (Chios) Strait – Gulf of Ildır

CHART

222-2215-2221-2223

1058-1625-1645(B.Adm.)

The region we will cover under this heading; the waters between Karaburun in the north and Akburun in the south.

From north to south on the east of this line; Ildır and Çeşme Bay, on the west, Inousses Islands and Chios Island are located.

In the region, whether mainland or islands, it is surrounded by high mountains.

Ildır Bay contains Turkey's most beautiful beaches.

The islands, with their shoals that appear even in very open waters, are waters that will require us to always navigate by referring to navigational aids during passage.

"Can there be shoals this far offshore?" you cannot say in these waters, there are. "Can this cape produce debris this far out?" you cannot say, it does.

Especially Ildır Bay has a magnificent bottom structure. White, yellow sand creates a different harmony with azure blue waters.

It is a region where wind is abundant and generally blows from the north and almost continuously. The number of calm days is negligible. These winds raise rough seas.

Marinas and shelters have all kinds of facilities. Transportation and cargo facilities are available. The region is İzmir city's densely populated summer area. Road facilities are adequate at every point.

Access to the International Adnan Menderes Airport via the Çeşme-İzmir highway is very easy. All banks are present in the region.

Coast Guard and other security units can be reached at every point.

It is a tourism region, hosting numerous luxury hotels, restaurants and entertainment centers.

In Çeşme center, there is a historic castle and museum. It is a region where underwater wrecks are found.

Many diving centers organize tours to exquisite waters and different diving spots.

Yacht technical equipment is available, technical workshops are present.
