Demirci Limanı is the largest on the northern
part of Gulf of Sığacık. On the east side of the bay, a peninsula extends. An
inlet on its northwest side opens eastward. The shelter for the local fishing
boats provides all round shelter. Depth in the basin is 2 – 3 meters. The
bottom is weed and sand. Boats drop anchor off the beach in 3 – 5 meters.
Strong northerlies cause a swell. A buoy in the bay belongs to coast guard.
Care is needed at night. A few houses are barely visible among the trees. There is 10km land transport connection to
Çeşme – İzmir highway.
