The small coves facing east and southeast between Bozan Burnu and Dil Burnu are called Gönlücek Coves. We can say these are the quietest coves of the gulf.
The large Karaali Cove on the east side is a cove exposed to wind and swell. This section narrows and ends with a beach area with pine
trees behind it. It is a distinctive cove, but it receives wind and swell.
In the cove that shallows towards the beach, anchor can be dropped and stay can be made at 5-6 meters. It is a cove suitable for day stay.
The small coves on the western shore of Gönlücek Bight are sheltered from meltemi. There are rocky outcrops extending from the headlands that separate these coves from each other. Almost every vessel entering the bight can find a cove.
At the location of the first cove at the entrance, there is a water well and it is generally where fishermen stay.
The middle of the bight is very deep. Anchor is dropped at 10 meters in front of the coves, and stern lines are taken from land.
The slopes of the cove are bare, with occasional palm trees. The sea is very clean. While anchored in this pristine cove with no road connection, all vessels cruising in Hisarönü gulf are within your field of vision.
