The location of the marina was used years ago as a port for loading chromium extracted from mines in Göcek and surrounding villages onto ships. The land where washing, screening and loading operations took place was recently declared a tourism facility area and was opened as a marina in 1999. 

The relevant area was replanned and transformed into a beautiful and modern marina facility that protects the environment while providing high standard services to yachts and yacht owners.

By using environmentally friendly marina systems at D-Marin Göcek Marina, the natural water circulation of the bay was not obstructed, and it has set an example for other projects in this area with the floating breakwater system called Technoscreen. Although Göcek's average wind speed is 40 km per hour, this floating breakwater was built strong enough to withstand winds of 120 km per hour.

The marina has a berthing capacity of 380 for yachts up to 70 meters, providing boats with water, electricity, telephone, and wireless internet connection.

The marina provides 24-hour security service, luxurious hygienic showers and toilets, laundry service, restaurant, cafe-bar, supermarket, charter, yacht sales, travel agencies, and car rental facilities.

Within the marina, there are social service facilities such as a volleyball court, private beach, sailors' garden, book exchange units, children's playground, parking lot, and recreation area.

Golf carts are available to facilitate transportation within the marina.

At the marina, where assistance is also provided for yachtsmen's customs procedures, locked lockers are provided to yachtsmen upon request. There are bank ATMs within the marina.

In the marina's haul-out area with a capacity of 150 boats, two 70 and 75-ton lifts and two 40-ton boat carrier services are provided.

At the marina, which also has technical service facilities, there are a Wastewater Collection and Treatment Facility, Solid Waste Collection Station, Bilge Water Reception Service, Waste Engine Oil Collection Station, and fully equipped fire extinguishing facilities.

D-Marin Göcek Marina is only 22 km from Dalaman International Airport, from which daily flights are operated to many major European cities throughout the summer.

D-Marin Göcek Marina is only 5 minutes away from Göcek town center.

Due to the location of Göcek bay and the marina, reliable accommodation is provided for yachtsmen 12 months of the year.
